This is the question most people carry for months before they say it out loud, because it sounds paranoid in English and sounds like the most natural thing in the world in Spanish. So here it is, straight: in the tradition I come from, yes, work can be placed on a person. And no, most of what goes wrong in a life is not that.
I am Don Jacinto Nahual, curandero from Catemaco, Veracruz. Telling those two apart is a large part of what I do.
The signs people describe
- Everything failing at once, work, money, health, family, with no ordinary cause.
- It began right after a conflict with one specific person, or right after something good happened to you in public.
- Strange objects at your door, in the yard, under a mattress: powders, tied herbs, a buried egg, a small doll.
- A sudden change of character in you or in someone close, with nothing to explain it.
- Disturbing dreams that started one specific week and did not stop.
- The feeling of being watched, especially at home, especially at night.
- Impulses and thoughts that do not feel like your own.
- A partner who went cold in a few weeks, with no fight and no explanation.
Any one of these alone means little. Several together, starting at the same time, after a specific person, is when it is worth taking seriously.
The false alarms, which look identical from outside
- A thyroid, an anemia, a hormonal problem. They produce exactly the exhaustion and mood people describe to me. A doctor first, always.
- Depression and anxiety. Months of dread and sleeplessness have a name and a treatment, and the treatment is a therapist.
- A bad year. They exist. A business fails for reasons a spreadsheet shows; a marriage ends for reasons both people know.
- Grief. After a death, everything looks like a sign for a while.
A curandero who finds a curse in every client is running a store. I turn away people every month whose problem was one of these, and I would rather keep doing that than take money from someone who needed a blood test.
The first step that tells them apart
A reading, not a piece of work. The egg passed over the body and broken into water shows what a person is carrying; the cards show how the situation stands. Sometimes the reading says nothing is there, and I say so. When something is there, the next steps are a cleansing and then closing the way it came in. First session $97, about an hour, closed price, and you are told how many sessions I see before paying for any beyond that.
If you found an object
Do not handle it with bare hands and do not bring it inside. Salt over it, then remove it with a bag or a shovel, and throw it away off your property. Then call. What was placed matters less than what it was placed for, and that is what the reading looks at.
