Almost everyone who sits down in front of me for the first time asks whether the work will be white or black, as if they were two drawers. In practice they are not. A protection that shields your house and a piece of work that returns harm to the one who sent it use the same herbs and the same prayers. What changes is the target and the intention.
I am Don Jacinto Nahual, curandero from Catemaco, Veracruz. Here is where I draw the line, and why.
What separates one piece of work from another
Not the color of the candle. Two questions: who is it aimed at, and what is it meant to do to them. Work aimed at your own life, to clear, protect, open, is one thing. Work aimed at another person, to bind, bend or harm, is another, and the second kind is where I stop. Not out of piety. Out of thirty years of watching it come back on the person who paid for it.
My opinion, and I hold it firmly: I have spent more hours undoing work that people ordered against someone else than I have spent on almost anything. It costs more to undo than it did to order, and by then the person who ordered it is the one sitting in front of me.
What black magic looks like from the receiving end
This is what people describe when someone has placed work on them. None of it is proof on its own.
- Everything failing at once, with no ordinary cause, starting right after a conflict with one specific person.
- Strange objects found: powders at the door, a bundle of tied herbs, a buried egg, a small doll.
- A sudden change in someone's character, with nothing to explain it.
- Disturbing dreams that began in one specific week and did not stop.
- Impulses and thoughts that do not feel like your own.
Before concluding it is a piece of work
Rule out the ordinary. A body that hurts is a doctor first. Months of hopelessness are a therapist. A business that failed may have failed for reasons a spreadsheet would show. Part of a first session at my table is telling a piece of work apart from a bad year, and when it is a bad year I say so, even when that means you do not come back.
What to do if it is there
Three steps, in order: find it with a reading, clear it with a cleansing, and close the way it came in. The first session is $97, about an hour, closed price. The service page is here: spiritual protection; the full list of signs is in how to know if someone did work on you.
